This is work that I consider to be long term and in progress. I've got so many more ideas I want to explore with this and I continue to search for all kinds of different mannequins, as well as the appropriate human model counterparts. If you think you have something to contribute to this series, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Although some might see this as my "newest" series, it is the continuation of creative themes & ideas that go way back to when I first started shooting nearly ten years ago. It's all about the duality of and disassociation from our Selves, as well as my fetishization of dismemberment and amputation...

As a side note, I would like to say that there is absolutely no airbrushing or digital manipulation in the photos on this page. The magic of these photos is the meticulously planned image alignment. I shot these using film, locking the camera to a tripod and then taking two photos one after the other. It's old-school photo montage, nothing more. Although I could have juxtaposed these shots manually in the dark room if I had the time and ressources, I had to accept the fact that using a computer to merge the two shots was going to be the easiest way for me to materialize the final result. Photo-realism is the most important element to me in this particular series.

Lastly, I would like to thank the entire team over at Gender Mannequins for their amazing kindness and assistance, I really appreciate it!
